Winter Camping (Arizona Style)
We know that winter is a great time to go camping in Arizona. And Lake Roosevelt is a great place to go during cooler weather. Learn how easy it is to get there from Phoenix, a great place to camp, and great things to do while you are there.
Wintertime offers mild daytime temps and cool nights to gather around the campfire. And the area offers a lot of things to do. The historic Apache Trail is a great 4-wheeling adventure to a lunch at Tortilla Flat. The nearby visitor's center offers a good introduction to the world's largest masonary dam. And the indian ruins at the Tonto National Monument are not to be missed.
